Grepiac is structurally different.

We're not "TrainingPeaks but cheaper", the model is genuinely different. Most coach platforms are calendar-first (you live in their training calendar). Most analysis tools are desktop-first (your data is locked to one machine). Grepiac is analysis-first and web-first, with a flat coach price plus a rebate that turns athletes into the funding source. Different shape, not just a different price tag.

Pricing model

Most competitors charge per-tier or per-seat: more athletes, more money. Grepiac is flat $299/yr unlimited, and we share the upside back via a $100/yr rebate per premium athlete from #4. With 6+ premium athletes, your coach plan is free. None of the platforms below offer anything like that.

Where you live

Calendar-first platforms (TrainingPeaks, Final Surge) want you inside their schedule view. Desktop tools (WKO5) tie your data to specific machines. Grepiac is the analytical layer that sits alongside wherever your calendar already lives, and works from any browser, any device, no install.

What we cover

We do planning + analytics + race execution + technique + equipment + coach business ops in one platform. TrainingPeaks does calendars and PMC well; WKO does deep analytics; Best Bike Split does course-aware power. Grepiac does all of it, plus things none of them do, the post-race report that benchmarks each athlete against their whole age group and gender field, GPS segments with Stryd Running Effectiveness, a race-day fueling planner, technique forms, and swim force vectors.

Side by side, coach plans

Coach pricing & what's included.

The core comparison most coaches care about. Grepiac's flat $299/yr undercuts every multi-athlete platform on this list, and with 6+ premium athletes the rebate makes it free.

Self-coached athlete pricing.

Athletes who don't have a coach but want lab-grade analysis. Grepiac's $99/yr undercuts TrainingPeaks Premium, the closest serious-analytics tier, while going far deeper on swim, race execution, and efficiency. Final Surge and Best Bike Split are cheaper but much narrower in scope.

In detail

Where each platform fits, and where Grepiac fits in.

Honest framing of what each competitor actually does well, and where Grepiac either sits alongside them or replaces them outright.

vs. TrainingPeaks $54.99/mo · ~$660/yr coach · $134.99/yr athlete

TP is the industry default. They're the best at training calendars and PMC charts, and most coaches already have a TP workflow. Grepiac does not replace TP's calendar, we sit alongside it. Build the structured plan in TP (or wherever); run the analysis, race execution, technique tracking, and fueling in Grepiac. We're working on direct workout export to TP so coaches can author structured workouts in Grepiac and push them to TP for delivery, that's on the roadmap.

Where Grepiac wins

  • Less than half the coach price ($299 vs ~$660)
  • Athletes free in roster vs TP's tiered athlete-tier limits
  • Premium athlete $99 vs $134.99 (~27% cheaper, far deeper)
  • Post-race report with "Race vs the field" — per-leg AG/gender percentile, gaps to winner/podium, field movement (TP has nothing like it)
  • Official race-results auto-fill (splits + placement)
  • GPS segments with Stryd Running Effectiveness + GPX/FIT route import
  • Race-day fueling planner + cheat-sheet PDF (TP has neither)
  • Tech swim / run assessment forms + swim force vectors
  • Equipment + bike-setup changelog
  • Premium-athlete rebate (unique)

Where TP still wins

  • Deeper structured-workout authoring + a public training-plan marketplace
  • Mature calendar + drag-drop microcycle UX
  • Native partner integrations (Garmin, Wahoo, Zwift sync)
  • Brand recognition with athletes coming in
  • TrainingPeaks University / coach-cert ecosystem

vs. Final Surge $390/yr coach · $79/yr athlete

Final Surge is the closest structural match, also a coach platform with athletes free in roster. The differences are on coverage and price: Final Surge caps at 100 athletes for $390/yr, vs Grepiac's unlimited at $299. Final Surge has a stronger calendar UX than us today; Grepiac has dramatically more analytical depth (calculators, force vectors, race execution, technique forms).

Where Grepiac wins

  • $91 cheaper coach plan, with unlimited athletes (vs 100 cap)
  • Far deeper premium-athlete analytics (CdA, swim force, run-power efficiency) — Final Surge's $79 tier is lighter
  • Race-day fueling planner + cheat sheet
  • 36+ calculators vs Final Surge's small set
  • Premium-athlete rebate (unique)
  • Tech swim/run assessments + equipment changelog

Where Final Surge still wins

  • More mature calendar / scheduling UX
  • Built-in messaging + workout commenting workflow
  • Stronger run-coaching focus historically

vs. WKO5 $169 (desktop, 2-device cap)

WKO5 is the depth-of-analysis benchmark for serious cyclists and coaches who want custom metrics and chart-builder flexibility. But it's desktop-only and capped at 2 devices, your data lives on the laptop you installed it on, full stop. Grepiac matches a lot of WKO's analytical depth (calculators, lactate, metric history, regression detection) and adds web-first anywhere access, plus everything WKO doesn't do (race execution, fueling, technique, multi-athlete coach workflow).

Where Grepiac wins

  • Web-first, anywhere access (vs WKO's 2-device desktop cap)
  • Multi-athlete coach platform (WKO is single-user)
  • Race-day execution + fueling (WKO is pure analysis)
  • Post-race report benchmarked against the field — placement, per-leg percentiles, gaps to the podium (WKO has no race-results layer)
  • GPS segments with Stryd Running Effectiveness for shoe comparison
  • Tech swim/run forms + equipment changelog
  • Built-in calculators don't require chart-builder learning curve

Where WKO5 still wins

  • Custom-metric chart builder is more flexible than our pre-built calculators
  • Stryd / iLevel / TTE depth (we have this on Phase D roadmap)
  • Cheaper at $169 if you only need single-user analysis
  • Established legacy of advanced cycling analytics

vs. Best Bike Split $299/yr coach · ~$40/yr athlete

Best Bike Split does one thing very well: course-aware bike-power simulation (CdA + wind + hills + temperature → predicted finish time). At $299/yr for a coach plan, you're paying their full price for what is essentially one feature inside Grepiac, our race planning wizard + power-to-finish simulator covers the same ground, plus all the other modules at the same price.

Where Grepiac wins

  • Same $299/yr buys you 36+ calculators + race fueling + technique + equipment + the full platform
  • Run analytics (BBS is cycling-only)
  • Swim analytics (BBS is cycling-only)
  • Coach workflow + multi-team + assistant coaches
  • Race-day fueling planner with minute-by-minute schedule

Where BBS still wins

  • Deeper course-physics modelling (more granular drag/wind iterations)
  • Direct integration with course-file libraries (Strava segments etc.)
  • Tighter integration with Garmin/Wahoo head-unit course load
  • Athlete tier is cheaper (~$40 vs our $99 standalone)
About these prices: verified against each vendor's website. Competitors update pricing regularly, so check the current rates at trainingpeaks.com, finalsurge.com, bestbikesplit.com, and trainingpeaks.com/wko for current rates before deciding. Grepiac does not maintain third-party pricing in real time. The comparison reflects each platform's headline coach offering; some have additional add-ons or enterprise tiers not shown here. Where a competitor's coverage is partial we say so explicitly, we'd rather under-claim than mislead. Spotted something inaccurate? Email info@grepiac.com and we'll fix it.
